AL AIN Camel Market

Al Ain, is a breath of fresh air after the frenzy of Dubai even Abu Dhabi. It is located just two hours' drive from both cities, almost on the border with Oman.

Its Camel Market is dusty, noisy, smelly and chaotic; but this is not important, because it represents a marvelous immersion in the ancestral Arab culture, so hard to find today in the UAE. All kinds of camels are shown, from babies that someday will be able to compete in races to stallions bred for reproductive purposes.

It is fun to watch in the morning, the intense bargaining, and to note the curiosity aroused by among traders, the presence of foreigners.
