STEWART ISLAND, Almost a Virgin Territory

The country's third largest island is considered one of the most pristine places throughout New Zealand, to the point that 85% of the island is part of the Raikiura Reserve Park.

The island stands out as having one of the most breathtaking sunsets on the earth, a reddish sunset that leaves no one indifferent. Right here it is also one of the best places to observe the known kiwi, New Zealand endemic animal and country's icon.

Perfect for activities such as hiking, bird watching and if you dare, take a refreshing dip in the many coves dotted along the island. The island also offers the freshest seafood from the country, supplied directly by fishing families living in Halfmoon Bay.
